Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I go for answers to customer questions that are not addressed on the Lab Attendant/Greeter resource page?

Ask an Employment Service Counselor for immediate assistance.  Please send us your questions so we may share the information with all our partners.  You may submit a question by clicking here.

Where do I sign in & out at the one-stop?

You must have a photo id badge with a bar code on the back.  Clock in and out on every visit to the one-stop by using your assigned time clock.  If you do not have a bar coded photo id badge call Denise at 4358 to get your badge and time clock instruction.

I am unable to report as scheduled, what do I do?

Contact your employer and ask them to send a substitute in your place.  It is essential to have staff present to assist our customers.

How long is a half-day session?

Typically the morning session is 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and the afternoon session is 12:00 noon to 4:30 p.m.

What is expected of me?

The duties and reference information for Lab Attendant/Greeters are detailed at www.lake1stop.org/OneStopStaff/LabAttendantGreeter.htm.

What software is available in the lab and what does it do?

There is a blue card with available software descriptions on the left side of each computer station.  There is also a paper copy available in the Resource Room in literature bin# 3.

Will we receive training?

Yes.  There will be cross-training sessions with presentations from each partner to keep us all informed.
